RV Lighting
Cars and RVs alike run on 12V batteries. With the right accessories you can convert some of the interior lighting (as certain states have regulations on exterior lighting). As seen below, one customer has converted the overhead lighting in his RV to LED strips. This customer soldered the strips together himself, and chose a combination of cool and warm white to achieve both a brighter task light, and a conventional warm light.
When planning on using a car battery for the lights you must either use a fuse to regulate the voltage when wiring directly from the car battery, as seen in the top diagram below. The other options is to use a 12V replacement cord which plugs into the cigarette lighter and can be directly wired to a screw terminal connector/ Tiger Paw , or could even be directly wire-nutted to another cable.
Using LED lighting is a unique and affordable way to customize your vehicle. While the LEDs are cool to the touch, they are safe for everyday use! Plus being rated at 100,000 running hours, they are built to last!
