It’s been a busy summer here at Inspired LED! Frequent customers and visitors to our site may have noticed that among the usual product launches and summer sales, we also moved to a new office building. After several weeks of hard work, we are now proud to officially announce that Inspired LED is up and running at our new location in Tempe, Arizona!
As anyone who has ever moved out of a childhood home will agree, there is something about digging through the closets and boxing up old forgotten possessions that can bring up some nostalgia. And all this moving forward has given us a chance to look back at how far we’ve come…
Inspired LED was originally founded in Silicon Valley back in 2008 by business owners Jim and Cheryl Levante. Their goal was to bring the emerging technology of LEDs from the world of high end technology and into the hands of the average consumer with simple DIY solutions and lighting kits. After launching the company, they spent eighteen months processing orders, managing inventory, and shipping out of a single room facility with only the occasional part-time assistant.
By 2011, with business beginning to grow, Jim and Cheryl made the decision to relocate to the Phoenix Metro area with the goal of recruiting new employees and graduates from Arizona State University. For five years, Inspired LED found a home on the border of Tempe and Scottsdale, slowly expanding from one suite, to two, and gaining sixteen new employees. It was here that the business grew from selling simple LED kitchen kits, to inventing unique new products like our patented Tiger Paw® Connectors, and the TRIAC analyzer, expanding sales to both local and online distributors like Mouser and Digikey.
Given the increase in volume and production, especially throughout the past year, Inspired LED has finally outgrown our first building. So, after months of searching and preparation we have officially moved to a new location! It’s bigger, better, and just a bit down the road…
Our new building is located at 1702 W 10th Place in Tempe, Arizona. Aside from the additional space, this new location provides employees and customers with some great new benefits.
Our new offices feature a private parking lot with reserved spaces for our customers, as well as an additional lot around the back of the building for employee parking.
Though we remain somewhat in the construction phases , the new building will also play host to our new, expanded showroom, featuring lots of great Inspired LED products, including our new recessed “in-wall” lighting.
Along with some extra office space, we have also optimized our manufacturing and shipping area to continue to ensure that we meet the needs of our customers in an organized and timely manner!
